 Exceptional!

The upcoming November 7th local election matters to you!  Local school board elections have consequences which impact property taxes, the quality of our schools and property values.  This is what is at stake:

• Downingtown Area School District raised your taxes 5% in the past two years, approved a 3.5% tax increase for the 2023/24 school year and plans to raise your taxes 3.5% per year over the following 5 years.  This will be a 29% compounded tax increase over 8 years. If elected I will fight to lower the tax burden proposed by cutting wasteful spending.

• Standardized test scores and school rankings in the district have been declining.  If this trend continues it will have a negative impact on home values.  If elected I will fight to return the district to one of academic excellence.  This starts with focusing on building the foundations in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.

• The district is under contract to sell land they own known as Lionville Station Farm for $96M.   The buyer plans to build a mega warehouse on the site that will negatively impact the DASD community at large. The deal could fall through due to the community backlash.   If elected I will perform proper due diligence of prospective buyers of DASD property.
